[...]i just want to point out that if you understand the situation in vast countryside and the misarable living conditions of so many poorchinese farmers which are 80 percent of our nation ,you will fell there are so many things still need to be done .
i was born in a village and my parents are poor famers who work very hard .all they can earn in one year is never more than 2000 RMB--i mean they work from 4am in the morning to 8pm in the evening having lunch in their fields in summer,and from 7to 7in winter.(my parents are living northeast of china).they never eat except for spring festival;they are now all over 50 years old but still working otherwise they will have nothing for survial except me ,their son who is still in an university applying his master's degree.many of you can not imagine how hard they have been working ,it is beyond the edge of your imagination .
this is not a sad thing,indeed my parents are living a comparatively happy life ,partly because i am a postgraduate school student and can leave countryside and not do husbandry work by hand any more.
what is sad for them is that they are exploitation and oppression they are suffering from the local officers who are living such a luxury life .
once in my village, a woman was arrested by the local police office as being a prositute and forced to point out the list of men who went whorn. the woman is a decent person,so how could she do that?but the police are skillful at doing this,so after a night the woman "told "a list,thus all richer men in our village were arrested the next day and panaled 5000 RMB each.of course some of the men didn't confess of such a nonexistence and got beated .
the woman was leased at last ,all her neighbours were shocked because the woman was crazy,and a lot of scars were found on her body,obviously she was tortured badly by the police by using very cruel ways.finally the police payed 2000 RMB for her as medicine cost .
these kinds of things happen in the north very often.
